Teaching by Pastor Macinta

"There was a time when the church was very powerful in the time when the early Christians rejoiced at being deemed worthy to suffer for what they believed. In those days the church was not merely a thermometer that recorded the ideas and principles of popular opinion; it was a thermostat that transformed the mores of society.--- Dr. Martin Luther King

President Bush proclaimed Oct. 12-18, 2003, as Marriage Protection Week
"Marriage Protection Week provides an opportunity to focus our efforts on preserving the sanctity of marriage and on building strong and healthy marriages in America". - President George Bush

Mr. Bush rightfully describes marriage as a union between a man and a woman. We, according to Scripture, proclaim that such a union is for life, with only physical death separating that union. Too few Pentecostal fellowships hold to that position. The Assemblies of God, in 2001, by action of their General Council in permitting those divorced and remarried prior to conversion to hold credentials and thus pastor churches, evidently feels that that divorce dissolves the marital union. By their action, they have violated 2 Timothy 3:2, and have further weakened the institution of marriage. There is no Scripture that states that divorce dissolves a marriage.
Divorce and remarriage can be forgiven, but the marital union remains until physical death. All Scripture points to that fact: once married, always married, until physical death.
For more details on this position, and the damage that the 49th General Council has done, please see

Holiness is not a moving target.

"May YHWH answer YOU when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect YOU."-Psa. 20:1
