Assistant Pastor Needed

Before you continue to read, this is a non-paid position. All we can offer at this time is experience. We cannot offer any financial assistance, whether it is to live in the area or to move here. If you are still interested, please continue to read on.

Cornerstone Assembly can offer a varied range of experience in practical ministry. The one accepting this position will be allowed to preach at least once a month, and there is ample opportunity for other avenues of ministry.

Those interested should be in agreement with our Statement of Fundamental Truths (Click on the Beliefs link above). You MUST agree with the Biblical Truth that marriage is between one man and one woman FOR LIFE, that divorce does not dissolve a marriage, that the pastor / deacon is to be the husband of one wife (one has more than one if one is divorced and remarried with a companion still living), and the sixfold purpose of this Assembly. In the area of working with youth and children, IT IS REQUIRED that a full background check be made of individuals. Whereas Cambridge is racially mixed, the candidate needs to show willingness to reach out to all peoples regardless of their ethnic background.

Cambridge, MD has a population that is greater than 11,000 and our estimates are that the city is about 63% Afro-American, about 36% Caucasian, and 1% or 2% other ( Hispanic, Oriental, Middle East ). Industry remains divesified, although there is a heavy emphasis on tourism with many places to dine.

We can help you locate employment and housing.

The one who would become an Assistant will gain experience in street ministry ( if you are not "street smart", this is a good place to learn ) and ministry to the mentally impaired.

Pastor Macinta is willing to mentor you without coercing you or brow-beating you. He is also willing to learn from you!

All canditates will be examined in regards to their background and testimony.

The person chosen must become a decision making member. That would require attendance of 80% or greater for at least four consecutive months and must be maintained to remain listed as an assistant.
